Who are we?

We are a small group of engineers and designers building the next generation of software tools for energy and carbon intelligence in the built environment. Our mission is to provide quality analytics that give building owners the knowledge and confidence to successfully reduce energy use and operational carbon emissions. Although we’re an early-stage company, our team brings decades of experience working on decarbonization in the building sector.

What is the role?

Our software platform brings our collective experience in architecture, building science, and product design to commercial real estate - giving building owners the energy analytics and portfolio insights they need to act. As our customer base grows, we need someone to make sure every client gets lasting value from the platform. You will own relationships with our customers from onboarding onward, helping them use our analytics to meet compliance deadlines and decarbonization goals, and identifying opportunities to expand across their portfolios. Working closely with the head of product and our leadership team, you will also be the voice of the customer inside the company, shaping what we build next.

Who are you?

We’re looking for an account manager who builds trust easily and is willing to do whatever it takes to make customers successful as we gain our footing in the market. You should be excited about the company’s mission and curious to learn about building energy and decarbonization, assuming you aren’t already an expert yourself. Experience at an early-stage company, where processes are still being built, is a huge bonus. Apart from that, here are a few additional requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, real estate, or policy consulting - or other similar experience. You should be comfortable speaking with asset managers, property managers, and sustainability leads about their portfolios, and ideally have some knowledge of building performance standards (such as NYC Local Law 97), energy benchmarking, or ESG reporting.
  • A track record of growing accounts through proposal wins, renewals, upsells, and/or expansions, along with the organizational skills to manage a book of clients, track health and pipeline in a CRM, and forecast accurately.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills. You should be able to explain technical analysis in plain language, run effective onboarding and training sessions, and turn customer feedback into clear input for the product team.

What can you expect?

  • Competitive compensation package, with equity, based on experience.
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Flexible / hybrid work schedule. We’re open to fully remote work, but we’d like to have someone local (New York metro area) as we get our company off the ground for occasional in-person meetings. Our offices are in downtown Manhattan.
  • Generous paid time off. Although we’re a startup, we value work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to shape the direction of a fledgling company and make a positive impact on the environment.
